Many years ago, just married, we were part of a congregation where the new pastor and his wife were about our age and recently married too. She was such a lovely person and we had an immediate connection. It could have been a wonderful and rich friendship, if I had the insight then to ignore the intimidating glove. A glove created in my own mind and one that she desperately tried thrust aside. How stupid and fruitless – I missed out and I am so sorry. I realize too that the glove prevents real relationships/ friendships.
