		<description>Nice post. I don&#039;t know that &quot;nice&quot; is the right word. :) I think that pastors can work without the glove, and they should. The glove is desired by some because it gives implicit permission to wear their &quot;Christian&quot; glove too. There are always saints, however, who see, know and understand. There is also the dynamic of the anti-glove, that wishes to be gloveless for the exhibitionism, the catharsis, the show. It itself is also a glove of sorts. pvk</description>

		<description>I realize too that the glove prevents real relationships/ friendships.  Many years ago, just married, we were part of a congregation where the new pastor and his wife were about our age and recently married too.  She was such a lovely person and we had an immediate connection.  It could have been a wonderful and rich friendship, if I had the insight then to ignore the intimidating glove.  A glove created in my own mind and one that she desperately tried thrust aside.  How stupid and fruitless – I missed out and I am so sorry.</description>
